Simple question.
Injury proneness will remain HIDDEN because of an earlier poll (and I am a fan of not revealing that) to still provide some challenge.
And I will go out on a limb and reserve the right to bump this right back to NORMAL should OOTP19 make significant improvements to the injury setting.
I'm also going to add my Slack post announcing this here, for the sake of having it in black and white:
This is the #1 discussion in most online leagues.
As I have said many times, in every league I am in (and I'm just saying, not fanning flames) I am a huge believer in using as much of the "game" as possible, from trading to retaining salary, to owner goals, to playoff rosters, to financials, to pretty well everything (except contract negotiations, which still need some help in an online league , but they are getting better). I also firmly believe that the only way the online game gets better is if online leagues USE the GAME as coded. Which is why I really hate to turn anything off (or consider lowering something like injuries). My fear is that it will never get put back to normal, even if the game vastly improves!
That said I do think 18 has gone a little over the top on injuries and even normal is a bit much at this time (even with tweaking). There is no good answer to this, because injuries have already happened. Some teams are inevitably going to be hit harder than others. So many factors weigh into injuries - AGE, PRONENESS, PREVIOUS INJURIES, and the saimple fact front-line talent plays far more often than scrubs, so you feel the injuries much more each time! And I certainly do want anyone to quit either because of injuries or because of not adjusting the injury setting, OR because the results of a poll do not go their way, so I hate to suggest this, BUT WILL in the interest of the league.
My thought... *Emergency POLL* to decide whether to drop the injury setting to LOW (next setting down). As Fin mentioned (and I endorse this setting) with the "Injury Proneness" hidden, it might be the prudent thing to do IF the majority agree!I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE 30 VOTES!
