After much deliberation and it kills me to come to the conclusion but I need to step away from the ABL at this time. I feel absolutely terrible about this but what I feel more badly about is my poor ability to be a good commissioner that a league needs to be great.
I had so many ideas I wanted to run with the ABL and ideas that I feel would make a league unique, exciting and fun and not being able to get Sims in consistently let alone implementing these ideas has me frustrated.
When I started the ABL, the pace of my life wasn't bad but since then my divorce has become final, time with the kids have taken priority and work has become busier (which is always good) but also having a very hard time finding employees who want to work so I am doing the work myself that I not so long ago had 2 other people and sometimes 3 doing alongside me.
My average day looks like this:
5:45 am - Wake up
6:30 am - Get to work
4:15 pm - Get out of work
4:30 pm - Pick up Kids (spend time, baths, dinner, etc)
9:45 pm - Drop boys off at their mother's house since I work so early
10:15 pm - Get home
11:00 pm - Get in shower, finish thing around house and trying to sim
12:30 am - Go to bed.
& Repeat. Except for the two nights a where I try to keep boys at my house overnight and Friday nights where I work from 6:30 am and get home around 10 pm.
Its very hard for me to come on and run the league the right way, deal with the issues, complaints, new GMs, keeping things running smoothly. Many like the use of Slack and with so little time its much too hard for me to keep up and keep a feel on the league as well.
I truly sorry for not being able to follow through with this task and if there is anyone who is interested in running the league with a very solid core of GMs, let me know and I can help with the transition.
